Wife and I are in the market for new foam mattress, any feedback on Tempur-Pedic vs ComforPedic by Simmons?

We bought a tempurpedic a few months ago, and we love it. Takes a little bit to get used to, but well worth it. Not sure about the comfort-pedic though

We had a top of the line Simmons, it lasted about 5 years before the ruts started. I wouldn't buy another Simmons product. We bought a Tempurpedic in January of this year. It does take getting use to. It is comfortable and it does help with back pain, but it seems hot to us but we still like it.

Hey, bigfoot, does your's seem hot? What do you do about that?

I can't offer a comparison. We bought a Tempurpedic a few months ago. We love it. It is firm and comfortable. The only negative thing I might say is that it's hot. Even just the sheet (with jammies - we have wandering kiddos) is too much sometimes.

Simmon Customer service is a complete pain to deal with. It takes them forever to respond to e-mails (if they do)

We sent e-mails to email addresses under the contact us. Simmons told us they didn't even know the email boxes still existed (so they obiviously never checked)

We are on our second and last Simmons mattress (only because after the hassle with the first the gave us a replacement)

You got that right Tinker! We tried and tried to get service for the Simmons. We finally gave up, tossed the Simmons, and bought the Tempur. It was such a joke but it will take years for it to catch up to them.

We won't be contributing to Simmons again. We thought they were suppose to be the best along with Sterns and Foster, we learned the hard way.

We have still not decided whether we love the Tempur yet because we are hot at night. But, it does feel great.

We have had a Tempur-Pedic for 6 years -- the worst thing about owning one is every other bed you sleep on will feel like some medieval torture device in comparison. Buy one, then start looking for hotels that have them if you travel.
