Getting rid of a box spring?

I have a box spring mattress that I need to get rid of this weekend. I would give it to goodwill/salvation army but I'm not sure that they accept them. Ideas?

Put a note on craigslist under the furniture catgegory and the free category. Put it outside. If it's still there tomorrow, take it to the mission.
