Well, i have an Escape and the seats get so horrible and I am tired of cleaning them every month! And I have determined that I still cant get them very clean. Are there any local businesses that clean car seats and then some how scotch gaurd them for you?? And about how much would this be? Im sure it would be worth it whatever the cost is. The seats I have get one little drop of water on them and they look spotty. It really sucks whenever it is raining and you have to quickly jump in your car and all the little spots of rain that enter your car with you stay for a long time!! UGH! Im sure someone knows something about this!! Thanks and gig'em!

You could probably douse it in a couple coats of scotchguard yourself, allowing a day or two of drying in between coats.

The famous microfiber seats. There more and more popular. Once the water evaporates it will leave the " ring around the colar " look. Scotchgaurd is the best I have found so far. I buy it in gallon forms and spray it in a paint gun. You might try this too.

How about getting the seats professionally cleaned and then investing in some seat covers?

Wet Okole is an awesome brand, although a little pricey (~$300). But that is still less than getting the seats shampooed every few months or so for the life of the car.

I had really light gray seats in my SUV and they were pretty stained. I took it one weekend to Shammy's in Bryan and they did a really good job cleaning them, I was afraid some of the stains wouldn't come out but they did (I don't know about waterproofing). Took them about 1 hour and cost me under $100 for the seats to be cleaned and the outside to be washed. Well worth the money.

My F150 has the same problem...especially with little ones spilling sippy cups all the time!.. I invested in some Wet Okole seat covers. They are Neoprene and bomb proof. I love them. No worries now

Thanks everyone for the great ideas! I was trying to stay away from seat covers. I was wanting to get a good cleaning before I did the scotch gaurd...so I was looking for a carwash place or something like that. Isnt there someone who posts on here that cleans cars?? I couldnt remember who it was. I will probably call Shammy this afternoon and see what they can do for me...and see if I can find anywhere else too.
