Howdy,
My name is Mike Stulce, Texas A&M Class of '91. Together with my wife Katie (Class of ’94), we are the founders and owners of Champion Firearms- a specialty gun store and indoor range right here in College Station.
Back in 1993, Katie and I started Champion Firearms when we were still in school at Texas A&M. With a shared passion for hunting & shooting, we decided to start our own business. Champion Firearms was literally launched in a duplex behind what is now present day Golds Gym. By day, Katie and I would go to class, and in the afternoons we sold guns in our living room. On the weekends we traveled to gun shows all over the state.
We worked hard, had fun traveling across Texas, and by 2002, we expanded into our fourth and current location- a 5,000 square foot gun store and indoor pistol range located next to Starbucks on Holleman & Texas Ave. Even though we no longer attend gun shows, Champion Firearms still carries a complete selection of quality handguns, rifles, and shotguns at some of the best prices anywhere. We teach a comprehensive 1-day concealed handgun license course that includes fingerprints, passport photos, notarization, loaner handguns and range practice. Our price for the first time CHL course is $75, and $50 for renewals. Our state-of-the-art indoor range has 9 lanes where walk-ins are always welcome. A day pass is $10, rental handguns are $5 each (plus the cost of ammo), and semester/yearly memberships are available as well.
