I know Fuzzy's near SW Pkwy and Texas has been a subject here earlier but thought I start anew since last night and at lunch it was line out the door with people giving it a try.

My first time there other than breakfast and I was really looking forward to ordering the grilled fish sandwich. Gotta say I was disappointed..

I don't know why I assumed is would be a grilled fish fillet on grilled bread (kinda like a fish panini), but it was on a regular hogie type bun (not bad) but the fish was all chopped up and mushed up almost like a fish spread. I assume it was real fish but it's not what I expected. Didn't care for it.
The potatoes that came with it were excellent I will say. I will give it one more try and order something else. They did get the food out quickly at there rush time and were very friendly as is typical for new restaurants. Let's hope that lasts after the honeymoon is over.

The first time I went there it was amazing. The 2nd time it was terrible. The 3rd time it was terrible. I think they are just a new restaurant and are having some growing pains. Im just not going to go back for a month or so and give them time to work out the problems. Hopefully once theyre better settled the quality will improve.

The problem with new restaurants are (1) inconsistency in kitchen staff and (2) poor customer service in the front of the house until the kinks get worked out. Since you have given them 3 times and had 1 good experience, I would wait a month and try again. Hopefully they will have everything sorted out.

The first time we went in, 2 of our 3 orders were wrong. Our taco orders were served on very cold corn tortillas..and as mentioned above, our grilled fish was like a spread, it didnt even taste like fish, but we chalked it up to the place being new and will give them some time to get things going

I went today for lunch and had a taco plate. I had a crispy garlic beef taco and a soft habanero shredded chicken taco. It was very good and filling, and the prices are reasonable -- 5.95 for 2 tacos and 2 sides. Everything seemed fresh, and I anticipate going back and trying other things on the menu in the future.

Just had lunch from there. The food itself was very good. Had the crawfish and pork soft tacos with the potatoes and black beans. All of it was very good.

Some kinks need to be worked out regarding to-go orders, IMO. There is no area for people to wait to get their food, and there was way too much employee traffic in that area. Everyone that was waiting for an order was pretty confused on where to stand and employees kept asking me to move, which is frustrating when you've already moved 5 times.

Great food though.

Fuzzy's website looks like they'll have online ordering very soon, so that might cut back on the wait time and/or waiting area confusion. Either way, I'm sure they'll do something to mitigate that issue. After all, you don't want your "to-go" people taking up tables for "dine-in" customers during a rush...

I'm planning on having lunch there tomorrow, is there still a big crowd from 12-1?

i was not impressed with their special beef. their shrimp tacos were okay though, fish tacos were too fishy. probably won't go back.

I had a grilled fish taco and a grilled chicken taco and they were both really good. The feta cheese was a surprise, but strangely good. The habanero sauce is as you would expect - damn hot, which I loved. I agree with an earlier poster that the fish is odd because it is almost like it's spread in the taco. I'd be happier if I could see some pieces of fish for some reason? My wife had a crispy fish taco and said she liked that one better than the grilled. The service was fast - we had our food in five minutes or so, and while there was a line nearly to the door, the line moved fast and we were in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. We'll be back.

I was not impressed with much of it....weird taste for me. I went with a small group from campus and no one was impressed either. Atleast it was fairly priced.

Are they using a different taco shell than they were the first few days they were open? It may just be my imagination, but I don't remember the first tacos I had being on cold, generic, out of the box shells. The shells they use now are either broken upon unwrapping or break with the first bite. It just doesn't seem like the first set of tacos I had were like that.

between myself and my brother we eat there 1-2 times a day about 5 days a week (A LOT). They have messed up an order once or twice but righted it with free food when it was brought to their attention. Regardless of any service problems, the food has been excellent EVERY TIME. And now that they have their beer licence we will probably go there even more.

I had the pulled pork taco, the ground beef taco and the chicken tacos and none of them had any thing that just jumped out to make them any different from anywhere else. I actually thought the beef taco had very little taste to it, other than the feta cheese. Was not impressed, but will give them another shot.

So having a business right near Fuzzy's means I eat there a lot. I have to say the borracho beans were a bit bland when they first opened. They have continued to get better with each week that passes. So I asked the manager, Adam, what the deal was. He said the cooks were using the wrong seasoning mix in them at first. Well, what ever they are doing now is so much better. They even have a better beer flavor to them.

So this morning I got their Pork and Beans (its hard to find on the menu). This little styrofoam cup of goodness is amazing. Its the borracho beans, shredded pork, cheese, and pico all in one bowl. Its a must try for sure.

We went to Fuzzy's yesterday. We got a shredded chicken taco, a pork taco, and chips and salsa. It was all really good. The pork taco was better than the chicken taco, but both were good. The prices are really low too. We will be back!!
