This is the second Sat. afternoon in a row I've tried to access my acct. online only to find the site is down for maintenance. Why are they doing stuff like that in the middle of the day?

Gee, maybe they're having unforeseeable technical issues and are working all week (including weekends) to fix the problem.

Anyone thought of maybe calling them for clarification?

Although I realize being a jerk is your schtick, there is no one there on Saturdays.

I get frustrated b/c they always schedule the system to be down (regularly) on the last day of the month-when we get paid! Is there some reason they can't do this from 12 midnight to 6am in the morning?

How do you know? Do you monitor all of their locations all day on the days they're closed?

There's a good possibility their servers are located in a location that IS NOT at one of their walk-in facilities.

So I say again, maybe they have something going on and are working diligently to solve the problem. IT stuff isn't always cut-and-dry, and there's almost always more going on behind the scenes that you will never know about or understand. Cut them some slack unless you actually CALL them and get the story on what's going on.

there may be major things going on, but if they're having to take the system down regularly on Sat. afternoons then i would expect to see some sort of notification/warning about the issues on the main page. IT is a tough, fickle job, but the credit union is in the business of customer service and a little of that goes a long way.

I agree. Unless it's an emergency, taking down a banking website during a Saturday morning/afternoon is just bad practice.

Fixing the website on a Saturday seems perfectly fine to me, the bank is closed. The tech guys already have to work on Saturday away from their families, I dont' see a problem. At least it isn't during business when it would affect transactions. No big whoop.

Howdy,

Sorry for the delay in responding. I was out all weekend supporting the Ags at Bevo Burn, Maroon & White Game, and Aggie Baseball.

The short downtime Saturday was for updates/upgrades to allow for continued support to our online banking, remote check deposit from home, and shared branch network. We'll work with our IT department to make sure that future notices are displayed in advance of work being done.

These updates/upgrades usually run on Saturdays after we close (Branches are open 9-1). It does allow for our IT staff to reduce their time away from home and for ample opportunity to work on any "challenges" that may occur before Monday rolls around.

If there was a special circumstance regarding your membership, feel free to give me a call.
