Did my taxes today using Turbo Tax online. It was very simple, and I'm happy with my projected refund. Has anyone else had a good or bad experience using the online version with e-file? And about how long does it take to get your refund?

I've used TurboTax to eFile for the last 5 or so years, and it has always worked great without any hitches. You'll probably get your refund in a little over a week, but should be less than two weeks.

If you e-filed today (2/4), you should expect your return to be deposited on Friday (2/19)...or if you are getting your return mailed to you, the IRS will send it out on Feb 26.

I e-filed with an accountant last year, signed up for direct deposit, and the money was there within three days. What makes you so certain about the dates you just specified? Thanks for the replies.

My sons efiled using Turbo tax last week. One had his refund Wednesday and the other is supposed to get his tomorrow. It was quick, easy and seems to work fine. Plus it's free. My taxes are much more complicated than theirs so I am using my accountant. They didn't have anything but the standard deduction.

TLIAC, I made about $18,000 last year (I'm a broke grad student now). I believe what you said is correct. I've heard (and read) that the Federal Government is trying to get refunds out as quickly as possible, and that the two week time frame is for those who request a check by mail or the debit card option from Turbo Tax. I'll let you know when I get my refund. TurboTax sent me an email yesterday saying that my Income Tax Return had been accepted, and to expect my refund within 14 days. They went on to say that refunds are processed every Friday. So, I'd say since I filed yesterday (Thursday), before 5pm EST, my refund will appear in my bank account at some point next week (I hope/think).

I e-filed at noon on Sunday and my direct deposit hit this morning.

I love Turbo Tax Online. I've used it for 3 years now and it gets easier each year as it autofills info and reminds you of things. I imagine there are VERY few of us that have such complicated returns they require a CPA. But to each his/her own.

I've been using Turbo Tax Online for the past 7 years (at least) and I love it! For the years when I had refunds, I got it within a week of filing (using direct deposit).

One thing I learned last year when using TurboTax online: pay with a credit card. If you have them take the deduction from your refund, it takes longer to get your refund as it doesn't go directly from the IRS to you bank.

I efiled on Saturday and had it in my account this morning. TurboTax is my friend.

I've used turbo tax the last few years and have had good results. I have even done it when I had a 1099t, 1098, and a w2. I had to pay 20 bucks but it was just as easy adding forms as it was with only a W2.

I did my taxes with TurboTax (have been using them for the last 4 years). I filed my refund on Jan. 23rd and had my refund direct deposited by Jan. 30th.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I e-filed (for FREE because I'm a poors).

What's a tax refund?
