Just spoke to my dad and he says the one on 21 is now called Polly's Mi Cocina...he used to make the magaritas at the GB location....have to do more investigating...

I asked the other day when I went in for lunch; their staff confirmed that the Mi Cocina change forced them to change the name. Mi Cocina (that is in B/CS) has been around for 18 years, and the owner's name is Polly (sp?). Why Laches does not apply is beyond me, and also as somebody pointed out all it means is "My Kitchen." How can that be trademarked?

lilHtownAg is correct. It's ok in it's own right, being cheap food. You get what you pay for. But please don't pretend to think that it is anything close to real Mexican food (my apologies for being mexican and growing up with it, so that gives me an unfair advantage). Might as well eat at TC.

lilHtownAg: Some of the best enchiladas I ever had were in Dixie's Cafe in Cougar Wa, in the edge of Mt. ST. Helen's State Park. It turned out that the lady that owned it was from San Antonio.

I really liked the original Bryan Mi Cocina back in the early to mid 90s. It's only been OK the last few times I went. And I tried the College Station location on George Bush about five years ago and hated it.

Still, this makes me want to try again. Frankly, I don't find any TexMex in the area very exciting.

For all the haters... if you don't like it, don't go! I like Mi Cocina, and apparently a lot of other people do too because they are always packed at lunch time.
