Can you get suddenlink internet without using their phone or TV service? I was going to do a Verizon bundle, but they don't have DSL at our house yet. I would really prefer NOT to have a land line and to keep my current directv service.

Anyway so I'm looking for stand-alone high speed internet.

I bet they offer the option at an additional cost just like Verizon allows you to have DSL without a landline. That what's we did just recently and went with dryloop DSL.

We do this, but it costs a little more than it would if it were bundled.

Well we're paying $60/mo for wireless broadband now so anything less than that is a win for us.

I pay $36/mo for 8m/1m service with no bundling.

SKF~ Make sure they are wired for your neighborhood...We are the only ones on our street that uses the internet and it took 3 trys to get it worked out ...this was last year so they may have everything worked out now....otherwise we are very happy with the service.

SH, is this new or does it only apply to residential customers?

When I signed up for business internet, I was required to pay for basic cable. I was getting channels 2-73, and then mysteriously channels 24-57 disappeared. When I asked, I was told I should never have been able to get those channel. It was a bummer because it eliminated CNN, Fox News, and all of the sports networks.

Just an fyi to the other 8/.512mbit suddenlink subscribers.... I knew they were bumping our speeds this month and found out at dslreports the upgrade was done here. Just need to reboot your modem to get the faster speed.

We are now getting 10/1.0 mbit.
