Does anybody have any recommendations for a storage facility for a work trailer with equipment that does not charge outrageous monthly fees?

I have no idea how their rates compare now, but I used Lock & Roll (by Sam's Club) several years ago and found the facility to be excellent.

Dear fellow consumer- DO NOT goto A&M Super Storage on Highway 6. We stored our belongings there, and rats had been in our unit. They got into our furniture and they left behind proof - if you know what I mean.

I tried to contact them and it took me months to get them to respond to me, and then they said they wouldn't do anything because the contract states that they are not responsible for anything that occurs on their property.

Of course in this day and age a business has a contract in place to protect them. But, as a customer service issue, don't you think they should respond in a timely manner and at least offer something to make the customer feel better? Maybe they have no legal responsibility, but if they want to have happy customers, they should offer something to help.

Just wanted to warn you not to use this facility due to poor customer service and cleanliness.

I had really good luck with D&T Stables and Storage at Rock Prairie and Wellborn. Brent is a super nice guy and the rates were very reasonable.

How is this the storage people's fault? You do realize that if any renters around you put something in their unit that attracts rodents, you will have them in yours also right?

Why didnt you just walk in and talk to the manager/owner? Kind of difficult to not respond to someone when they are standing right in front of you.

Not sure about the anything that happens part, but they are absolutely not responsible for your stored items. Did they mention renters insurance when you rented the storage unit?

What was their response when you walked into the office and informed them? As far as "offering something," probably not a good idea because in doing so they are basically admitting "guilt."

And I can assure you that there is not a single storage facility in BCS that does not have "visitors" every now and then. If you rent a storage unit that has any walls that are exposed to the exterior of the building, rodents will get in the unit.

To AggieBB-
All I'm saying was that the situation sucked. And that I'd try another place that might have better customer service.

They shrugged that day. There seemed to be only one person there at a time. And when I called they told me that the person I needed to talk to was out of town. And I left messages and they didn't call me back.

I guess. But I'm not asking for a full refund or new furniture. Just some simple customer service, to say, I'm sorry that this happened to you, and we are doing everything we can to try to avoid this in the future. Something to make you feel better about the situation. Not I'm doing nothing to help you, because I have no legal obligation to.

They didn't have it originally, but I kept checking on it, and finally got it when they added it to the facility. But apparently they didn't sign on to have the rodent coverage option which is $1 more per month.

I just wanted to post a reply about a storage place to be careful of. That's all. I wouldn't feel this way about them, if they had dealt with the situation better.
