Actually, in Class C cases (municipal and JP), it's deferred disposition, not deferred adjudication. It's specifically covered under a separate section of the Code of Crimial Procedure.
In either case, there is no conviction on your driving record. Law enforcment can see that you took defensive driving if you do so, but you can get a 10% discount on your insurance....for 3 years.
