I am Steve Lumpee, my wife Denise and I own and operate Aggieland Fitness Dome. We both graduated from Texas A&M, '86 and '88. We are very excited about advertising on myBCS.com!

Aggieland Fitness Dome opened January 2004, becoming the first fitness center in the nation to be housed in a monolithic dome building. Along with our manager, Jill Handy, we had a goal of providing College Station with a top-quality adult upscale fitness center.



Aggieland Fitness Dome offers a wide variety of cardio, each with it's own 17" LCD TV, Express Full Body Quick Circuit, Free on-site childcare, Dry Saunas, Woman’s & Men's Dressing Rooms, Tons of free weights, newest and most advanced workout equipment, and the best thing is that we are never overcrowded!



We are a unique club where you will feel comfortable and welcome. Although we have some college students as members, the majority of our members are in their 30's,40's, and 50's. But for any age, at Aggieland Fitness Dome you’ll get the results you want, from the experts who care.

So when is the addition to the dome for classes going to be added that everyone was talking about in January?

Or a location in Bryan? I think I'd really like AFD but it's not anywhere even remotely close to where I live

I would defintiely be interested to know if the Dome is adding group fitness classes. It is the only thing I miss about Golds. I am not really good about doing this on my own.

I checked with Jill a few months ago and it sounded like plans had been approved and the construction on the Dome addition would be moving forward shortly. Perhaps part of the holdup is/was the construction next door, which they also have a part in. Since its begun I think we'll see the Dome construction start soon.

I'm sure we'll get the entire lowdown from the horse's mouth soon.

I have been a member since April of last year and will for as long as Im in BCS.

The Dome is a great facility with a diverse group of people. The staff and members make all the difference.

What classes are yall interested in possibly doing so far?
I think I'd like to see spinning, body pump, maybe even yoga??
What else will be included in the expansion?

A lap pool would be great!

Spinning! I miss it. I would also enjoy a body pump class because I am defintiely not disciplined about doing my lifting.

Areofit is too far for us now to really use, but the dome is really close if they had some of the same facilities

Racquetball courts
Steam sauna
Lap pool (preferable indoor) Not having this would almost be a deal breaker for my wife
Towel Service
tennis courts
indoor basketball

What Tinker said plus an exercise pool in addition to lap pool.
