My mom really does not have a lot of interaction with others now and I am looking to change that (as is she). We are thinking about getting her involved in some of the day trips like to one of the casinos or something. I see firstclasstours.net has something interesting. She would have some difficulty traveling (alone) to the departing locations on 1960.
Can anybody suggest any local church or senior groups that do this on a regular basis? Once she got a little more involved and familiar with the individuals I think she would be a little more open.

So, you're looking for a church group that makes regular bus trips to the casino? Hmmmmmm.

Check the Eagle for ads for the bus trip that leaves from the Bryan Wal-Mart. I think it's $10-15 and they go to a couple different casinos...

Well, it does not have to be a church. But really thats not that far fetched.
Not like gambling is a sin... its all the vices that are associated with gambling.

Fantasy Vacation and Tours does a casino run and they also use Prosperity Bank as a tour agency. I don't have their phone number but I can get it if you can't find it.

The City of College Station has Senior Services programs that are social and educational. They do have occasional trips. I don't know if they include casinos. Visit the city website to see what they have going on.

paging 72jag - please provide details on fantasy tours. I can't find any info anywhere.

First Presbyterian Church in Bryan has a Seniors group that meets once/month for lunch and programs, a group that goes out to lunch locally once a month, another group that takes periodic day trips.

The St. Joseph Hospital Gold Medallion Club might be just what she's looking for. They have numerous, fun senior activities.
