Hey Locals, need some input!

I'm dating someone who has two kids (8 years old and 5 years old) and we are making the trek to CS Saturday to hang out for the day and spend the night.

We've decided to hit up the GHB Library but what else in town would be good for entertaining young kids?

We got dinner and that stuff planned and the pool at the Hilton, but is there any kid-focused activities that I am not aware of?

I plan on taking them out to Kyle Field and Olsen Field... maybe campus.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

go "pond hopping" on campus?
Ice skating?
sno-cones?

I don't have kids but these came to mind.

Children's Museum, Jump Zone, free splash pads.

The public pool on Rock Prairie is nice too.

At the Bush Library you can have their pictures taken sitting behind the desk in the "oval office." Neat for kids that age.

I would recommend The Bounce but they are closed for parties on Saturdays. Grand Station is a lot of fun (laser tag, arcade, putt putt). I second the children's museum and Arctic Wolf Ice Rink. I have kids that age and they love the Bombers Baseball games. There is a game Saturday night at 7pm.

my boys (9 and 12) love climbing the Century tree too.

The museum of Natl History has an excellent exhibit about Caddo indians.

On Sun thru Thursday, Grand Station has great deals on bowling, mini-golf, laser tag...best of all it is AIR-CONDITIONED

Adamson Lagoon is a nice way to cool off.

There is an indoor batting cage called Extra Innings, it is on HWY 30 heading toward Carlos. It is about 6-8 miles from Harvey Rd at the bypass.

childrens museum is better for younger kids. My kids think it's boring now, so we haven't gone in two years.

however corny it may be, the ducks at the CSPD are always hungry and it's a ton of fun to feed them. You can fish there too.

Adamson Lagoon is one of the COCS operated pools. It is off of SW Pkway, if you google for it you can find the info.
It has a bigger deeper main pool than Thomas Park and also has two waterslides, but no diving board.

For that matter, the Bryan Aquatic Center has a bigger slide and is a decent place too.

Adamson Lagoon is a public pool off of Southwest Parkway. From the Hilton, go South on Texas and turn right onto Southwest Parkway, then left on Anderson... which dead ends at Bee Creek Park. Adamson Lagoon is there.

Huge pool with waterslides, the kids will love it.
