About a week ago boyfriend and I got to the drive through line a good 30 minutes before they close at 10pm only to have them lock the doors, turn the outside lights off, and start turning people away from the drive through at 5 till 10... so no dq for us after waiting for 25 minutes.

Tonight we got there at 10:35, 25 minutes before closing time. The drive through line was long again, so we went inside. We waited 20 minutes for our ice cream and while waiting we watched the guy behind the counter screw up two orders, get pissy with a customer because he called the guy out on charging him $5 too much, and close up the place 10 minutes before 11! We also noticed that only two cars made it through the drive through line before they shut it down.

i think a call to the manager and owner is certainly needed! sounds like someone is not watching the store late at night

Agreed on calling the manager. That DQ has always been awful. I rarely go back.

Just go to another DQ in CS...

I agree that this DQ in particular really sucks!!! With some good management they could make a killing.

I have not been to that D.Q. since 2005, that is when I moved up here. The above descriptions are as accurate as my experiences.

Usually one worker does 80% of the work, the rest just take up space.

We stopped at the one on Texas and 24th yesterday between 4:30 and 5:00 and got great service. Try that one!

Wow, that sounds like our last visit. In the span of 10 minutes we witnessed them mess up two orders on a slow night.

The one near Texas and Villa Maria has been excellent.

I went there while getting the tires rotated and balanced next door and the people behind the counter seemed a bit... Well... Special??? Slow in the head ?? Off??
Anyway >> I watched them make the blizzards to make sure they put the right stuff in....

The last time we were there I totally lost my appetite when my husband pointed out the roaches crawling along the wall. The health department got a call from me the very next morning!

That location and the one on 29th street, in particular, are terrible! I won't even go back to the 29th street location. Very slow service, nothing but attitudes from employee's, inaccurate orders. Ugh! I am generally pretty laid back about the wait, but I can do without the attitudes.

When we want DQ, we make the drive to the Villa Maria store.

Every Dairy Queen I've ever been to has been SO slow that it's pathetic. It was getting late the other night and I wanted some ice cream with snickers mixed in and I knew sonic didn't have one with snickers so I stopped at that Dairy Queen on Brentwood. I saw three cars in the Drive thru and just went ahead and left. I knew it would take way too long to sit there to get ice cream.

the DQ on brentwood is probably one of the worst places on earth. i dont go back no matter how much i'm craving a belt buster or blizzard.

one time i had to wait 20 mins for my burger there because after they cooked it they put it on the 'pickup rack' and the counter staff simply would not pick it up and give it to me until they finished taking everyones orders in line and they had some free time. true story.

its something about that part of CS that inspires poor service. the DQ, Mickey Ds, and Wendys all in that area consistenly give poor service. you can count on it!

My girlfriend and I went there this evening, got two blizzards, and left. The only annoying person was the dude in front of us who turned his trans am off every time he stopped.

The staff was friendly and did the whole "turn the blizzard upside down" thing while smiling. I'm not saying you guys didn't have bad experiences, but at least we had a good one.

Rubbish, I've NEVER had a bad experience at that McDonalds.

i think it is a great dq. of course you will have to wait a few minutes in an ice cream line in texas when it is 100 degrees outside. have some patience these people are working hard.

Went to the Navasota DQ Sat evening for a Blizzard...

well, theres been a thread about this already but maybe it depends on frequency of visits. i happen to go there quite a bit so mathematically i guess i'm gonna have a better chance to get poor service than someone who only visits it once in a while.

Speaking of Navasota DQ...

Took 10 minutes before the girl acknowledged that I was even standing in front of the register. They didn't seem too busy. And then the manager (?) walked in, walked right in front of me, started turning on the outside lights, then disappeared into the back.

Finally got my blizzard and had to remind the girl behind the counter I had a drink too. Sorry for the inconvenience.
