My niece is turning 8 and I want to get her something Aggie that she'll enjoy. Any suggestions for something I could pick up around town?

Keta's Hallmark next to Kroger on Rock Prairie had some nice TAMU things~did not notice anything specifically for 8 year olds, but was not looking for a gift foa an 8 year old either.

My daughter turns 8 in August. My recommendation is to get a pink TAMU/Aggie T-shirt, then go to Keta's Hallmark and pick up a Webkinz (while getting the B-day card and gift bag). I have been to a lot of 8 yr-old birthday parties in recent months. Webkinz are always the most popular with the girls.

My daughter is almost 7 and she has the book "Anna Meagan: The Aggie Cinderella Story" by Cindy K. Boettcher and loves it. I think I got her copy at Hastings. It is almost like the story of Cinderella but takes place on the A&M campus and instead of a fairy godmother there is Reveille with a magical 12th man towel. It's really cute.

isnt 8 a little young to start with aggie gifts? whats wrong with the usual Hannah Montana, Hello Kitty, type stuff?? If she's shopping with you and goes out of her way to point an aggie gift out thats one thing, but let the kid be a kid before worrying about aggie or longhorn gifts.

I say go to the store and get her a pink shirt and pink flip flops to match. Maybe even throw in a pink baseball cap.

No way!! I recommend starting the clothes & hats while the baby is still in the womb. Any good ag parent will have their first picture of their little one in an aggie onesie, hat socks and of course mom or dads aggie ring.

If she likes stuffed animals, Reveille might be nice.

In our house? They then learn that they will be responsible for paying for their own education.

I like the pink A&M shirt and the webkins idea. I have a 6 year old, and a 7 year old niece and the webkins are all the rage. See if you can find a collie one. She can take it online and play games in a very safe and very controlled environment. Don't be surprised if mom and dad get to playing the games as well.

Ranger and my puppy are going with me to the party Charlie so you're partly right.

I have 2 nieces and everything I've ever given them so far from here they have loved. There's also a t-shirt TCU fan on the other side that is trying to swing them in the wrong direction. I'm working on the brainwashing while I can!!
