Now that Mr. Adam has brought American Momentum Bank to Texas, I imagine it will get finished one of these days. Word I have heard is Spring 2010 for completion.

Has anyone on here ever met Mr. Adam? I've heard some not so flattering commnents about the guy.
But when you're a billionaire you really don't give a crap I guess.

90% of the negative comments about Mr Adam is petty jealousy. The other 10% is likely someone that took him on and had their butt handed to them.

One incident stands out for me. There is a former A&M All American football player who was runnning part of the Miramont operation for Mr. Adam. One of the nicest gentlemen I have ever met. I played there as a guest and he could not have been nicer to me and our entire group. My understanding was that he and Mr. Adam had been good friends for a long time. The next time I played Miramont the All American had been let go. Don't know the reason but may have got caught in the cross hairs.

Are you talking about DE? He also got canned from the TAMU football broadcast booth because he was working for Miramont (in competition with Traditions). Luckily he is back.

I have several times (work realted).......the guy is a business person, period.......his mind is working 25 hours so he might seem like a cold person, but he is not!

It's a random habit that seems to annoy the he11 out of some people - kind of like giving tax money to art directors without attaching any oversight.

Yes, I've met Mr. Adam and other billionaires too. They all give a crap about something---just not always what you might want them to give a crap about---and it almost goes without saying that they don't all give a crap about the same things.

Or you could actually know the guy or someone who has worked with him closely. I doubt most people are wrong about him.

They may purposefully be taking their time to finish the building for tax purposes.

Some young women are not related.....

I have known him for many years. There are two distinct sides to him - business and personal. In business, he is a perfectionist and expects perfection from others. He is incredibly intelligent. His personal life is dedicated to his family. He was very close to his parents, is devoted to his wife, a loving father and a doting grandfather. I would describe him as loyal, kind and warm.

No 'get smart' pic yet?

I'm sure Don Adam never gets tired of that.

I think it is important to stress that he is completely "self-made" and he didn't make his fortune until his children were older. They have always been a close family.

hes a good man. i dont know him well but i know a lot about him. every time ive spoken to him, he called me sir and was very respectful.
