You should call Maroon Cab (don't know number, but website is marooncab.com). They are more expensive, but worth it for a nicer, cleaner vehicle and a great staff!

I rode with groundshuttle.com once, with my child, and literally thought we were going to die. I finally had to insist the driver to put her cell phone away because she was swerving so much trying to dial and talk. Then she was clueless once we got to IAH about how to get to the domestic airline area.

I'd call around to the rental car companies about one-way rentals to IAH. A few of you might have to drive, but it's probably still be cheaper than the $26/person GroundShuttle charges.

yeah, that's one of our options for sure is to get 15 passenger vans from enterprise or something---two one way rentals or something...

What day of the week? If it's a weekend, I can fit 5 people and I'll do it for $30

I'll do it for $10/person.
we can get all 20 into my buick if they don't mind riding illegal mexican lawn crew/construction style.

I think we had the same driver. The chick was driving about 40 doing some residential streets in south college station.

I think I had exactly the opposite experience with groundshuttle. My flight was delayed, so I called and they reserved a seat for me on a later shuttle. They were on time to pick me up and I was back in College Station safely and cheaply.

As far as I know, groundshuttle's phone number is answered by either the current driver or it rings to the owner's number. Keep trying.

40 MPH on residential streets is hazardous?

Wow....

So...is going like...the speed limit on university too dangerous too?

And to add to CrockerDOM's post, I think I can fit about 10 in my explorer (got 8 into a 1986 blazer with 15 cinderblocks before). We can get everyone there between us both!

University does not equal a street where cars are parked on both sides with not a lot of clearance on each side.

It's true about Maroon Cab. I have used them many times and they really are a great company. Their cars are the best around and the service is second to none. BTW, why go to Houston when you can fly out of Austin a lot cheaper?

Call Ed Cravey. He is a site sponsor, a great guy, and at 69 years old, I am pretty sure he could still take me in an all and all out street fight.

God's Peace, Chuck
