How long do you want to ignore this user?
Last year a sales represenative of Premier Theaters came into my place of bussiness and offerd me a cupon package for the theater.. I paid $34.99 for cupons. the restriction on the cupon was that I wait til the movie was older than two weeks. I had used the cupons through the year with no problems.. Then a couple of weeks ago I attemped to use the big cupon.. It was for 4 free tickets and a free popcorn.. I asked my husband and my sister and her husband to join me for a free movie. It was past the 2 week time frame. I was told I could not use my cupon ever for a sony movie. It was a rule from Sony. That was not stated on the package I purchased. and the clerk cheerfully stated that they changed that policy after they sold the packages.. I requested to speak to the manager and he too refused me and had no Ideas how to work out this problem.. I was embarrassed. My sister tried on the following Monday to see the weekday manager with the same results. I did not have the funds to treat everybody.. so we left and it is my intention to not return.. even though the cupon said free I Paid $35.00 for the discount. I was wondering how many others have had the same outcome.

Call the corporate office and discuss it with them.

Sounds kinda bait and switch to me if the terms change after the deal is made.

a lot of times during non-peak hours premiere doesn't have anyone checking tickets... so just walk in and see your free movie

Because two wrongs make a right. Sounds like a great way to get you and your friends arrested for "Theft of goods and services less than $XX."

This concerns me because I just bought one of those ticket cards for my daughter for Christmas. Apparently, Sam Houston Elementary was selling them as a fundraiser. I hope she doesn't run into this problem. There is nothing on the ticket that states what you have mentioned. It does however mention that the movie can't be within the first two weeks of its release which is fine with her. I will let you know how it goes.

Id call the person who sold it to you. Their name and number should be on the back. I bought one of these too when they came to my door. The guy wrote his name and number on the white box on the back.

We prefer to go to cinemark because it is always cleaner, and the staff is not actually mentally challenged.

I don't do Cinemark because they serve generic soda, aka Pepsi.

Unless Cinemark changed recently, they serve Coke products.

Is it really a free movie if you paid for it?

It sure is considering all the movie passes, drinks and popcorn that come on the card. Its a heck of a bargain. At least it has been for me.

It really is a good deal,,there are several free movie passes as well as several buy one get one on movie passes. Yes it costs $30 dollars but in all there are like 8 free movies and tons of free soda and popcorn passes.

As an aside, have they stopped serving alcohol? The last few times I went in there I didn't see any for sell and I didn't see anyone with a drink either.

This is why I don't ever buy those coupon cards that places sell. I bought one of these years ago, and I tried to use it in places that supposedly honor them, and the business didn't even know what the heck it was.

Besides, the idea of purchasing a coupon seems kind of bass-ackwards to me.

the employees at premiere do not sell these booklets themselves..its contracted thru the corporate office based in big spring, tx...it clearly stated on the yellow coupons you cant use them for PASS RESTRICTED movies which is 2 weeks...and for the SONY rule...thats coming straight from COLUMBIA PICTURES...which is owned by SONY itself...its not premiere making up rules..unfortuanately they are a smaller theater chain and in this town all the film companies favor cinemark...so its not premiere...you people should just read the fine print before you say things...get the facts straight before you go off and say things

blueoctober83 told you, huh. This person sounds like a Premier disgruntled employee or pissed off owner. Wow, what customer service skills you have. "YOU PEOPLE", I sure hope you don't apply for a job with me one day. Now, go back to work!

I say we form a mob! On a similar topic I have a question. Congress will demand energy CEO's to explain to them why gasoline is "expensive" yet the entertainment industry can charge $6 for a soda?

I went to a movie at Premiere last night, and don't think I'll be going back any time soon. Everyone who worked there was apathetic and/or rude. One guy stood at the register and talked to his friends while there were people in line. I was furious. Add that to the slack jawed ticket taker who can't even elicite an "enjoy the show" or even "to the the left".

Makes the whole experience less fun when there are sulking or slacking employees everywhere.

I agree Premier has pretty poor service. It needs new management.

I'd rather watch a movie at Cinemark, but I really hope Premier stays open. I don't want a return to $8 movie tickets.

I have never had a bad experience at Premier, and will keep giving them chances in order to keep lower ticket prices.

At least most of the shows at Cinemark are digital now. At the Ribbon Cutting back when Premier opened, I asked if they had digital projectors and he proceeded to belittle me for asking. Cinimark had theirs within 6 months or so...
Jabberwocky
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I don't think the digital projection makes a huge difference for most movies, unless you see it later in its run (after a film print has accumulated some wear and damage). The bigger technical problem at Premiere for me is sound quality—the volume is often too high or out of balance between speakers, and the frequency equalization is often out of whack (highs either muted or too shrill, bass that is booming instead of "tight," etc.).

But the customer service problems outweigh technical problems most of the time, anyway.
