How long do you want to ignore this user?
Every time we go there, I wonder what possessed me to try it again. We went tonight and almost every game we tried was broken. We ended up with MAYBE $5 worth of toys for the $20 in play that we bought and had more than enough of their nasty pizza. When we got there, there was no pizza on the buffet, no cups for the drinks, the Coke dispenser on one side was broken and on the other side gave out Diet Coke, the ICEE machines were broken, and the rooms were just gross. About the only thing I liked was the brownies and we spent ~$50.

The last time we went to Chuck E. Cheese and ate there, the kids came home with a ton of toys (cheapy little things but still a lot of them), the machines were mostly working (and when they weren't, they were fixed quickly), the dining area was clean, and although I don't like their pizza, we at least got it quickly and we spent about the same amount of money. I guess I know where we'll go back to next time.

Did you voice your complaints to a manager?

Did you talk to the manager?? He's my neighbor and I'm sure he would do something about it.

little too late for the manager, he should have taken care of it the first time!

Either a tough week for you or your life is going so great that the minor things are really getting you down.

First St. Joes and now Gattitown. I'd stay in this week.

I just get annoyed when I take my kids somewhere that's supposed to be fun and all the games are broken. We should have just gone to Chuck E. Cheese but my son really wanted to ride the bumper cars that were broken anyway. And yes, I've had a crappy week. If this was the first time, I wouldn't have complained but for us it was the third strike.

I did talk to all of the staff at the counter who did try and fix some of the machines but I didn't talk to the manager since we were trying to get out of there to get kids home in time for an early bedtime considering school starts tomorrow. I will possibly email tomorrow but like I said, three strikes. I'm pretty busy right now with school starting so I'm not sure it's worth my time to mess with it.

Not sure why not speaking with management is considered a reason for my opinion to be invalid but whatever. Sometimes management doesn't get a second chance to make things better. That's the way of business. If this had been a first time problem, I would have given them a second chance but after giving them two more chances, I just thought I would give my opinion. Others don't have to take it as valid but it's still my opinion.

I p.o.'ed my wife someting fierce at Gatti-Town College Station. Took in the grandkids for a birthday part and there was not one piece of pizza on the buffet. Staff was cutting up in the kitchen and ignoring everyone. (PS-it wasn't that busy)

I finally got a spatula and clanged it down about 3 times on the empty pans and shouted at them to get some more pizza on the line-that got a rise out of them.

Seems they had extra pizza ready on warming trays under the buffet line the whole time and all they had to do was put it on the buffet table.

My wife gave me "that look" and I was banished to the dining room with the kids. But-I got my pizza first.

I've not been back since then. I wouldn't pee on their pizza if it was on fire.

Last time we went to Gattitown 3-4 months ago a lot of the game machines were broken in some shape form or fashion. Wouldn't give tickets, would not work after we swiped our card, basketball games missing balls, etc. None of them had out of order signs either. Only half the guns worked at the western shootout gallery. The bowling game (the one with the projector screen) hasn't worked in over a year, yet they still have it there plugged in.

We spoke to a manager at that time about all the broken games and got the typical "ohh we're sorry, we're aware of it". "Here's some extra play on your game card and some extra prize tickets".
We vowed then it would be a long time before we go back and I see things still haven't changed from that time.

Another reason I don't like going there is all the "no-manners what so ever" kids (usually pre/young teens) just grabbing pizza off the buffet with their hands, not using the spatula and no plate, eating it while walking around.

They recently raised the prices... less than a year ago, we could take our whole family (2 adults, 3 kids) and eat for about $20-$22.

They raised the kid's prices something fierce, and now it's around $35 for 2 adults, 8, 6, and 4 year old.

We can eat a sit-down restaurant at Ninfa's or Texas Roadhouse for the same price including tip.

Luckily, only the 4 year old still likes going there, and she only gets to pick the Sunday meal once every 5 Sundays.

They should have left the one in bryan open, then ours would still be nice. I am really glad they built a target in Bryan, I give it 1yr and the one in CS will be nicer.

Remember the old Head & Shoulders commercials, "You never get a second chance, to make a good first impression." That seems to have held true. Good restaurants and businesses put their best foot forward every time.

The OP got a bad first impression. He was nice enough to give them a second and third chance, but they came up short every time.

oh your kidding..they raised their prices.....wow..no restaurant should ever raise their prices..I mean im sure their cost dont go up...its not like gas prices are $3.50 a gallon and their delivery cost are likely more, its not like minium wage recently went up..its not like their rent, insurance, and utilities likely went up as well

restaurants raise their prices all the time..quit crying...you have no idea what their overhead is and running a business in college station is not cheap...there are no fixed rates on anything and they go up every year...business have to raise their prices to keep their doors open...you want to complain to somebody go complain to the city

BTW, I have absolutly no affiliation with gattitown..I just know first hand about running a food industry business in college station

Talk to the management? Oh, come on guys! Anyone who has been to Gatti's very much knows that large numbers of their games are broken ALL the time. I have been more times than I'd like due to having kids who end up going to birthdays and school events there. The management may be nice, but they are well aware of the state of the games. They simply choose to do nothing about it. The only thing that will help will be to "let you feet do the talking" and go somewhere else. (Which unfortunately is difficult if you have kids who activities there like I listed above).

Chuck E. Cheese: more kid-friendly games that work and are only 1 token, you don't have to order food to get in and the pizza is actually good. Plus, there are coupons in the paper pretty much every week.

I only take my son to Gattitown if I have to.

Someone is missing out on the point of my post... which I can understand in this day and age with many people not being able to read an entire post and comprehend more than what the first sentence said.

I understand restaurants having to raise prices. However, considering the quality of food and the "atmosphere" at Gattitown, their prices are out of line with other restaurants.

Kid prices at other nice restaurants are much cheaper than at Gattitown.

Next time, try to understand the entire post before embarrassing yourself. And ask Staff to remove your AG tag so you stop embarrassing Aggies as well.

The complaints in this thread are identical to my experiences with the Gatti's in Lubbock.

It always irritated me that they would put the pizza under the buffet table, could never get a hot piece.

I was very grateful when my kid decided he liked other places better.

We don't don't go there any more because every time we go there isn't enough food. We have given them lets see at least 8-10 tries. And every time there is less pizza/food.

What we do now is go to Chuck E. Cheese for about an hour than go to CiCis Pizza.

i worked at this hell hole, sad to say, i was actually part of the "opening team". i was in charge of plates, silverware, cups and sodas, basically that whole island area and then the plates & the main floor. management was terrible when i worked there, hell my "manager" was 17 yr old high school drop out....so he didn't give a crap what we did.

i stayed there for about 6 months, the last straw for me was when i was chosen to clean the floor where a baby chose not to use their diaper and the tile floor instead, and of course the parent didn't seem to think they were responsible for cleaning it. as if that weren't enough, 45min later i was given the job of cleaning a bathroom stall where someone also wasn't aware of how to use the facility.

so, i showed up the next night to work, it is almost closing and there is a huge back to school Sig Ep party that night so i am hurrying to finish closing my area, and the "manager" comes up and says "oh yea, i forgot to tell you, i need you to stay late and scrub the tile floor, there is a big group coming at 9am and the morning crew won't be able to do it befor they come"....i took my shirt off, threw it on the counter and walked out.

We used to go there probably three times per week. The pizza was great back then. It was a great place for a date. They had one section with all the booths enclosed with walls on three sides.

How much are the kid meals at Roadhouse? curious....
also, 2 people could easily spend 30-35 if they both got steaks and also without alcohol.

I went to Mr. Gatti's one time and there was this terrible smell like raw sewage (yuck)! Must have been after the baby poooped on the floor or something.

That was really funny, when I read the op. I feel the same way every time I go there. But the kid is always begging to go. So I grin and bear it for her.
