Does anyone know of a reliable farrier in BCS?
I have one horse, just trims and he stands well. I have had 3 no-show farriers in the last 4 weeks, my poor horse needs his feet done badly!
I'm 3 miles north on Elmo Weedon.

Unless you've got to do some weird shoe or the horse doesn't stand well, it's just one of those things that it's better to do yourself -- like washing a car/truck or mowing a lawn. You also get the ability to keep an eye out for things that just aren't quite right as you work on things. The Ex always did it herself after a farrier failed to identify a thorn that turned into an abscess until well after the abscess formed and the horse wasn't putting any weight on the foot.
