Ozona has a fabulous Mexican Martini.

I really haven't found a great margarita since my old bartender left Fajita Rita (obviously a long time ago). Most of them taste like limeades.

Try a Ninfarita and you won't want anything else!

La Bodega is one of my favorites. I also like Abuelo's.

Best special is the 99 cent margaritas at Los Cucos.

La Bodega's shaker is the best in town in terms of quality.

Ninfa's for strength.

la bodega has some great ones. after 2 of them in the shakers you wont remember a thing.

ninfaritas are awesome, but the food there sucks.

try the crawfish enchiladas at Ninfas....awesomeness

plus the green sauce is 2nd only to Mamacitas

Yeah, you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. There are two different types of tequila in ninfaritas, not everclear.

Don't even mention Mexican Martini. Trudy's in Austin is the only place that has a genuine Mexican Martini.

The best, IMO, is Zapato's. Strong, good, cheap.

trudy's challenge...never tried it, only had one martini per sitting.

no, that's just the smell of the chicken stuck to you when you go bar-hopping.

Actually, the Mexican Martini was invented at Cedar Door in Austin.

La Bodega, Cedar Door and Trudy's all three have good and similar versions.

I love the watermelon shaker at La Bodega. (Trudys in Austin does have the best mexican martini though!) I believe La Bodega's shakers are a happy hour special every day until 7pm.

Also, the Hook (aka Lakeside Bar and Grill) has some fantastic margarita's on the rocks!

Cheap and strong- Ninfas (don't really care for those), Zapatos and Margarita Rocks.

If you ask'em to put a shot of olive juice in your shaker at la bodega you can replicate the one at trudys. Also request a fat waitress with piercings, and it will be like you're actually there!

AGREED! Although, I think Ninfa's taste like gas.

Ozona has stong and cheap ones (taste is ok) on Mondays ($1)

I prefer Los Cucos.

IMHO, the best, most authentic margi's can be had at La Casita restaurant in Navasota.

I had one at Cazadore's, and the salt on the rim tasted like soapy @ss.

Frozen house margaritas at Margarita Rocks are deceptively strong.

Ninfaritas are good. I heard a rumor they use reaallly cheap tequila, but I like them.

Los Cucos, cheap and decent.

It's not a rumor. I've seen them mix those things before pouring them into the margarita machine. Cheap tequila, no everclear.

Personally I can't really stand ninfarita's but those on Tuesdays are the cheapest and strongest.

Wing's N More is also a contender on Thursdays. I like those a lot better than Ninfa's.

Also, if you feel like dropping $6 on a rita, World Class Margarita at Cheddar's is a strong start to the night.
