Since it is summer, it will be crowded pretty much any day. My guess though would be during the week would be less crowded. I would check ahead of time by either checking the website or calling and making sure there is not some big event going on, like Girl Scout Day if they even have that. We went to Disney World one time and it just so happened it was the same week that they were having high school band contests so it was super crowded.

Go on a Tuesday... its probably the least busy day. Also stay away from the time period right after the grade schools get out for summer. I went on a tuesday in august once and never waited more than 5 minutes for any ride. Later in the summer people with season passes get bored of it.

Will second Tuesdays. Used to work there, and for some reason Tuesdays were always the least busy. No idea why.

I thought Tuesdays might be best as well.

So early June, July, or early August?

I know the best day to go, as we have gone on this particular day for many years and never had to stand in line for even the rides with usually very long wait times. However, I prefer to not divulge this information so as to protect the sanctity of our fantastic day at the Bahn.

One of my boys worked there last summer and two years ago in the summer. He's staying here this year and working for COCS pools. I'll double check with him to see if things have changed any since abc worked there.

We found that Father's Day wasn't all that crowded one year but it could have just been a fluke. We used to go before school got out but since the kids are older and in too many activities, that's out of the question now.

Don't go Fathers Day. I'm there every year on that weekend....family tradition. We stay on the river right across from Schlitterbahn so I've had a chance to observe.

I've been going to the Comal for almost 20 years, usually several times each year. I would have to say last week in July and first two weeks in August is your best bet. Arrive Monday evening and leave by noon Thursday and you're usually good to go.

I went once when I was a kid with my family. After a while it started to thunder and rain...but we decided to wait it out. 30 minutes later it was sunny and the park was the emptiest I've ever seen it.

The worst was working weekends in April... you'd get a cold front and it'd be FREEZING up there on the stand - only peeps who would come out then were the season ticket holder kids in wetsuits.

Yeah, screw them.

(btw, tliac, ask your son about how the lifeguards feel about season ticket holders - I was a lifeguard in 97 and would be interested to see if it's changed!)

Right now it looks like we will be going Tuesday, June 17th.

abc - I'll ask him. I do remember him talking about always getting assigned to sections that were mainly in water positions when it was rainy and cloudy. This will be his 4th summer to lifeguard but like I said, this summer he will be in CS.

abc-he said that they hated season ticket holders. When I asked why he said that they acted like jerks. For the OP he said that June is not as busy as July and August. He also said it was much better to go during the week, Tuesdays or Wednesdays. He had also told me in the past that working there was really a good workout. He said that it was a great upper body workout to push fat women in inner tubes. Yes....definately my child with a smart mouth like that.
