We bought a leather recliner (actually, I'm not sure that it was real leather...it was cheap, so I doubt it) four and a half years ago. We wanted a rocker recliner and were on a pretty tight budget, so we figured we'd get one of the cheapest ones we could find and then replace it in a few years when our money situation was better. Two kids later, the recliner is still in great shape! It looks the same as it did the day we bought it home, and we have a four year old, a two year old, and a dog who climb all over it.

In sum, my experience with a Furniture Row recliner has exceeded my expectations.

We bought a sofa and a love seat about two years ago. We got the enduro suede or whatever they call it. Anyway, they are great. I still think they look new and my kids haven't been able to destroy them yet.

We have had a sofa from them for 2 years now. Great deal and holds up well.

When my roomates and I moved into the house we're in, one of them bought a 3 piece set in the Endura suede type stuff (long term investment compared to cheap"er" furniture and hand-me-downs). They have held up great and still look new.

Edit: forgot to mention that I bought all my bedroom furniture there. Bed and nightstand worked out great, but the chest was too wide. Called them and told 'em about it, so they offered to pick it up and exchange it for the same style, but a vertical chest instead of a horizontal style. Great customer service!

They actually sell a bunch of furniture made by Ashley . . . so make sure it isn't available from across the highway first. Ashley will come down on prices with a little haggling, I've never been able to get Furniture Row to budge on price.

We bought a leather sofa and recliner at Sofa Mart in Nov of last year at the Waco store. I wanted a sleeper sofa and they had to order it. It was taking longer than expected for it to arrive and Thanksgiving was only 4 days away and we were hosting. Called the store and asked if something could be done. They located my exact sofa at BCS Sofa Mart. I went and picked it up myself only to discover is was slightly damaged when I got home. Damage was on the back of the sofa, so we were able to make it though the holiday. They offered to send me a new couch or send a repairman to see if it could be fixed. The damage was not that bad and we opted to see if it could be repaired. It was repaired within the week. We have not had any problems since. We will shop there again for future furniture.

I bought a leather couch and loveseat along with the matching endtables and coffee table. I've had em for about 2 and a half years now and they still feel like the day we bought them. I was kind of nervous at first when we got them, becasue I've never been fond of big chain store furniture, but they have held up great. We do the leather protectant every few months to keep them clean and looking good, but the coushions and springs still feel like new. Price wasn't bad either. They gave us a deal since we bought the whole set. Saved like 300 bucks, basically got the table free. The also finance interest free if interested. Definitely worth the money and I would recommend checking them out.

I have a leather living room set (couch, loveseat, oversized chair, and ottoman) from Sofa Mart. It's been just about two years and I LOVE them! My love seat even survived surfing down Hwy 6 (find LaFours or WC87 for that story) without so much as a scratch on the bottom of two feet.

My entertainment center is from Oak Expressions. It's a two tower with bar for a big-screen rear projection tv. I love the lights in it and I've never had any problems with the set. It's going on three years old.

My bedroom set is from Bedroom Expressions. It's a Spanish Mission-style headboard, footboard, rails, night stand, chest-o-drawers, and dresser with mirror. The set will be two years old in June or so. Again, LOVE it and haven't had a single issue.

You might say I'm a fan of Furniture Row.

We bought a new home 2 yrs ago and got most of our furniture there, we spent close to $20,000 and a lot of our furniture has been repaired more then once ( with the insurance protection plan bull**** they sell you) because it is a piece of ****! They worst Customer Service, and quality of furniture we have ever had. I would stay away from that place, go to Star Furniture or Ashley's Furniture and you can get a whole lot of better pricing and quality of furniture.

Concerning another Furniture Row store, I bought a great pillowtop mattress from Denver, and we love it. I'd definitely go back for other pieces of furniture.

We have a couch that has held up pretty good. The seat cushion for the matching chair isnt doing so hot though. And the legs on both are cheap cheap cheap. Bump them with the vacuum and chunks will splinter off.

The set was relatively inexpensive though. We have had them for almost 2 years.

We bought a sofa, love seat, chair, coffee table, and two end tables from Sofa Mart a few months ago. The furniture is Endura Suede and so far we are pleased with it!

They make good furniture, just make sure you get the right manager and they will haggle, especially if you have cash. We've purchased about $4000 worth of furniture from there for about $1100...money really does talk.

How exactly did you haggle?

I bought a sofa, oversized chair, and ottoman from the Lubbock store four years ago and have loved it!

You must have been lucky then BQ . . . because I've tried to haggle there three times now, always with cash, and I've never been able to get them to budge. It seems like they expect it at the other furniture places in town and they've been willing to play the game. I've been able to get some very steep discounts at Ashley.

It's pretty easy, you basically shop two or three (three is better) stores for a set that you like. Typically, every store is going to have a set that looks like and is priced similarly to a set from the other store(s). Start with the set that has the lowest price and try to get the other places to match or beat that price. Keep going until you get the best price that you can. It works really well at places where the sales people are paid on commission, because they typically really want to make the sale.

I bought my bedroom suit from Bedroom Expressions, and my mattress from their mattress store. They absolutely would not budge on the bedroom furniture, but we got a reasonably good deal. I have the queen anne 4 poster bed, with matching dresser, mirror, two night stands and high boy. It's about 4 years old now. I haven't had any issues, and it still looks great!

Rumor: Texas Furniture in downtown Bryan will soon be having a going out of business sale. I would expect you can haggle.

Bought the enduro-suede couch and loveseat three 1/2 years ago and they still look and feel brand new. Bought the cleaning kit with it. Best investment ever and I have a 10yo and 6yo who love to do whatever they can to destroy them and they have held up great! I will make purchases from them again.

i agree with labcat and InThe Mix. we bought the enduro suede last year and also bought the cleaning kit. so far, we haven't had to use the cleaning kit at all. everything, even milk from the kiddo has just wiped up off of it.

I love the endurosuede. Very easy to clean and really comfy. Ours is probably 3 -4 years old now. About to be relegated to game room furniture, but only because its style is more casual than I want for my living room now.

Found something I really liked at Star for $2200... didn't buy it, in that weekend's paper the exact sofa set was at Furniture Row for half the price bought it and has been great. Even got them to negotiate a bit on the price.
