We went last night with some friends and it was great. The steaks were wonderful -- very flavorful -- but I think I might go back just to have the insanely good mac & cheese. I know that doesn't sound very upscale but you haven't had mac & cheese like this before -- with smoked gouda -- just incredible. It also has a really nice atmosphere - upscale but comfortable. They said they are going to have live music later at night geared more toward the adult crowd. Really looking forward to it.

We went tonight. I seriously considered the mac and cheese (Mr. Spike LOVES gouda!) but we went with the carrots and the asparagus. Asparagus = good, carrots = strange. Steaks were awesome, perfectly cooked - tender and flavorful. Their riff on the Cafe Eccell strawberry tart was incroyable - I ate the bananas and Mr. Spike ate the figs - split the strawberry layer! Very good bread and a great atmosphere overall. I was pleased with how smooth it was after only being open a few days!

What are prices like? it scares me because there are not on the website.

I'd like to know the pricing too. Also, anyone been to both Eccell and 1876 that can offer up a review of both?

Went there on Valentines Day, the Lobster and Shrimp queso is really good. You can tell they're still getting the kinks worked out though. Later in the night they started to run out of some dishes, but that will get better once they figure out what people are going to want.

It was delicious. Highly suggested.
