A College Station clothing company is closing its doors and cutting over 100 jobs.

Red Oak Sportswear located at 114 Holleman Drive will stop operating Friday, March 28.

According to documents from the Texas Workforce Commission, the company, which is a division of Knights Apparel Incorporated, started winding down operations January 28.

Documents state all 124 employees will be laid-off. The workers held jobs in divisions including production, creative art, licensing, and marketing.

CC Creations tells KBTX the company is hiring some of those workers.

Red Oak Sportswear management declined comment.

One of our friends is getting laid off so we knew about this before it came out in the news. Really sucks for all the people working there.

Just if you didn't already know, Red Oak are the people that supply all the A&M clothing to Wal-mart among other things.

As I understand, Red Oak and C.C. were owned by the same man, who then sold each company to different owners. Red Oak focused more on large retail customers (i.e. WalMart) while C.C. focuses more on custom orders.
