I have a Jetta and something is wrong with the transmission. Does anyone have any recommendations other than Garlyn Shelton?

Not sure of the name, but there is a foreign auto repair shop at the corner of Victoria and Graham. Their address should be on Graham.

olliver brothers drove my car and added fluid for no charge...they were very good and didn't want to charge me for work that wasn't needed.

Sevciks screwed me over pretty good, but everyone else I have talked to has said it is the best place around, so maybe they were just being jerks when I went in.

I took my car to get it inspected and they replaced my very nice brand new windshield wipers with crappy ones, and charged me a ton for them. When I called them out on it they acted like I was accusing them of killing puppies and refused to take the charge off. My car was registered in Houston at the time, and they screwed up the form I was supposed to have to certify I drove it more in CS than Houston. When I asked them about it they kept giving me the run around, so I had to take it to get it re-inspected across the street.

Everyone else I have talked to loves them, but just be aware they can be just as bad of thieves as anyone.

I have had sevciks charge for work not done...and brought the car back and showed them....they could only say..wow...!the tech!! has worked here for 17 years and never done that before....last time I used them.

They no longer do inspection stickers.

The place at Victoria and Graham is called Bavarian Japanese Motors. Bill Marden is the owner and is a very knowledgeable and competent mechanic.

I ended up taking it to AAMCO Transmissions. He offered to run the tests and stuff on it for no charge, I'll know in the morning whats wrong with it.

Maybe he renamed it, but Bill's place on the corner of Victoria and Graham is called Autoworks. I agree he is knowledgeable and a nice guy, class of '89. 690-3032

Your right. I beleive he advertises as Autoworks, but the sign says (or said some time ago) Bavariian Japanese Autoworks. thanks for the jog in memory.

I've got a friend and her and her family all take their VW's to B&B Automotive in Bryan.
