My brother-in-law is trying to get me to go on a lease with him for duck hunting "right outside of San Marcos".

Is there any good hunting here?

Where at in San Marcos there is a big difference between the west and east side of the town. If it is west you are better off deer hunting. The east side of town may hold a few birds but they are more than likley just stoping in on their way to the coast. I don't think that there will be many birds staying around that area. You would really have to watch the weather and hunt the fronts. When they push through they will deposit some birds there but they more than likley won't hang around there too long. It would be a risk to pay money to lease a place there. IMHO
