my pop is having a birthday soon and we're setting him up with a new Mathews. i need recommendations on arrows. i don't think i want to get him any of the carbon/aluminum arrows as they bend just like regular aluminum. thanks for the help.

You said no AL/Carbon combo arrows, but the Easton FMJ arrows are the cat's meow. I shot some at Viking, and they hold TIGHT groups. They may bend, but that's why you buy 12 of them.

I am partial to the Ripcord dropaway rest. Sights are sights. Just about any sights will work as long as they're fiber optic.

Carbon Express makes great arrows.

I've got a Switchback XT and shoot Easton ST Epics with 100gr Montec tips. Can't complain about either, except the Montecs dull rather quickly in my experience.

I've got a Trophy Taker Pronghorn rest and love it. My sight is an Impact Archery Hammerhead 3. Again, no complaints about it.
