Anyone used them for repairs/professional cleaning? I've got a 50 yr old shotgun that I'd like to get a good pro to clean up. Its been shot in the past 10 years, maybe. Was my g-father's...Remington Sportsman 58.

Chet - McBrides would be an excellent place to take that gun.

I only purchased one gun at McBride's. All the locals like McBride's. However, I have gone as far as SanAntonio and made my last purchase at Sportsman's Finest at HWY 71 and 2244.

Anyway, I recently had a great experience at Sportsman's Finest (happy birthday to me) and just though I would toss the name out there for another option.

Thanks all. I thought I'd heard some negative things about McBride's in the past. Maybe not. Could have been dreaming. I think what I was thinking of was that one of the old guys in there is kind of surly and can be a jerk. Again, could have been dreaming that.

I took my Grandfather's old side by side 16 ga. (made in the 20's) & they did a great job fixing it up.

I've used Hank Fleming off of S. Congress before. He did an excellent job at a reasonable price. He has a website at www.hankgun.com. I plan on using him to do some work on a 1911.
