Need recommendations for Bay Guides... I've been with Mark Jones outta Port A 3 times over the last couple years (super results)... Caught the spec in my profile pic w/him... but need some additional suggestions... preferably from first hand knowledge...

Gotta give a big thumbs up to Capt. Aubrey Black. He fishes Baffin out of Riviera. He's a top notch guy and works hard to put clients on fish. Especially big trout. On arties.

Jay watson out of rockport is really good.

If you want to gig flounder, capt. red is bad@ss. My aunt and uncle used to go out with this guy once a month. Aunt gigged a monster, was 8-9 lbs. When I was out with him, we gigged 17 flounder. His boat set up is un beatable.

If you like surf fishing, billy sandifer is awesome. I was lucky enough to tag along on a trip with my dad. You drive down padre national seashore in 4wd and surf fish. We went all the way down to the mansfield jetties, 58 miles of nothing but beach.

Bay Flats Lodge in Port O'Connor is highly esteemed. Captain Chris Martin is top notch.

Jay Watkins in Rockport..not Watson

I have heard good things about Watkins and Black never been able to fish with them though.

Danny Gonzales is one of my favorites. He fishes baffin out of Corpus. Has a deal with the Wild Horse lodge I believe, if interested. Can be laid back or serious, whatever the guest wants.

Had a good time with Captain Donk at the poco loco lodge. Had my brothers bachelor party with him and it was great. He loves to entertain. Has a nice set-up with a pool, hot tub, and lighted skeet range. Sleeps up to 14 I believe. He is down in Falfurrias (sp?) and is all inclusive except alcohol and shotgun/shells for the skeet. Has a shuttle bus that takes you to the water. I was intoxicated the entire time so my opinion may be skewed but all 12 of the guys along had a good time. Pretty reasonable considering all you have to do is show up with the booze.

Hard to get an open date with him but I believe Gary Einkauf is the best bay guide in Port Aransas 361 749-6525. He has been there for over twenty five years and has the ability to get you in and out of places that other people don't even consider.

humperdink....Be careful in that we now know that you were drunk, there was a hot tub and the only thing that you remember is that you had a good time with Captain Donk.

I second Capt Donk and the Poco Loco. I do want to go on the record as saying I was never drunk, in a hot tub with Capt Donk. I do remember killing many dove and catching many trout/refish on a day when the fishing should not have been that great. If I ever plan another big group outting, that will certainly be that place to go again.

caught just about everything, including a baby shark, while fishing with him.

Capt. John Johnson out of Rockport. Fished with him a couple of times and have had a great time. Caught lots of reds and trout!!

Bay Flats Lodge was awesome! My friend took me and my dad for my birthday this summer and it was so much fun. We got into alot of bull reds and a good amount of trout. T.J. was our guide and he worked his a@@ off to get us fish. We didnt stay at the lodge, as it was already booked, but the place looked real nice inside.
