Alright we have covered best BBQ, Steaks, and hamburgers...but what about good ole fried catfish? The best place I have ever ate at was a place called Mcgeehee's or something like that just on the other side of the Red River in Oklahoma. My second place would be Dot's Cafe in Austin...but I heard they burned down or something.

The Hannibal Store was very good, consistent. The owners moved to Strawn and opened up shop there. Haven't been to Hannibal since the old cook reopened it though.

There's that place near Greune that is pretty tasty. And I have to say the Catfish Parlour ain't to bad... Flame away!
Dang, How could I not mention Cook's.... Good call on that one. We have had them cater a few events, besides eating at the barn. Good eats!
McGeehee's is good. For a while there was a McGeehee's in Lewisville, TX (North Dallas Suburb) in the mid 90's.
Grew up on David Beard's Catfish Village in East Texas. Consistently good. They raise their own fish.

Oak Valley at Lake Fork and McCurdy's on Highway 37 between Winnsboro and Mt. vernon are both consistently good, non-greasy catfish places. The only drawback to either is Oak Valley is only open Friday and Saturday nights, McCurdy's is only open Thrusday, Friday and Saturday nights and lunch on Sundays

Clear Springs Cafe...on Hwy 46 in New Braunfels (and 3-4 other locations in Texas). Outstanding. I'm dropping by Thursday for dinner.
Clear Springs is the bomb, but if you get a chance, go to Catfish Haven in Fredericksburg. Frog legs and catfish platter can't be beat!

The San Antonio Clear Springs is very good - have not found any better in SA.
KC's about 6 miles East of Trinity, Tx on Hwy 356.

Ol' Whiskers catfish buffet is pretty darn good...at 635 and Greenville in Dallas.

Another vote for Clear Springs on 46 between New Braunfels and Seguin. The onion rings are good, too.
Martin's - on the banks of Lake Bistineau outside of Shreveport/Bosier City. Great all you can eat, and they serve them in strips just bigger than french fries so you can fly through them.
They also didn't say anything about the Makers and water I brought in, not sure they knew.
