An adult male pheasant crossed Highway 21 (strutting) in front of me at 6pm Thursday. It was about 1 1/2 miles west of Old Dime Box.
This is the first pheasant I have seen while driving this area in over 20 years.
Could this be a domesticated, pen-raised fowl that escaped? It was a healthy looking bird.
Her's hoping they get well established. No more trips to snowy southern KS!
