I bought a new rifle recently and they call for a 40-50 break in procedure. Shoot 3-6 rounds clean, rinse repeat. I haven't done this before because the only deer rifle I've hunted with my entire life my dad got me when I was in 7th grade.
I've been doing some research and there are two main school; follow procedure OR do nothing at all.
What are yalls thoughts? I'm thinking I'll meet the count/cleaning in the middle but wanted to see what everyone else is doing.
TIA
