Another great trip with Alaska Wilderness Adventures out of Cordova. They are pros at logistics and provisioning an unguided experience.
Silvers, pinks and chum were in and not challenging:-)
Halibut, rock fish and yellow eyes were biting as well.
Bears, eagles, otters, sea lions all over. And best part - zero bugs. Zero.
Alaska is incredible. Go.

Looks like a blast of a trip! Was that Bob on the deck of the Northwestern? Were they there tendering for Salmon boats?

Ha! Not sure about Bob but yes they were there helping out with the salmon haul. Time Bandit was there as well.

Just got back from Valdez. 3 boats. 12 guys. 5 days of fishing. 1,200lb of cleaned fish. Prob 70% silvers and 30% halibut. Biggest fish of the trip was a couple of halibut that went about 40lb.

Absolutely incredible trip!

In the late 70s, my dad sailed a sailboat with his business partner from Anchorage to Seattle through PWS and the inside passage and to the day he died 30 years later, he was still talking to me about it all the time.
