Tactacam reveal is a better quality picture than spypoint. At least as far as the photo/video that it sends you. Spypoint does give you free pictures (limited per month) as to where tactacam does not. That's a nice feature in the offseason.

I agree with Reveal.
I've got SPYPOINT, Command/stealth cam and reveal all out right now.
Definitely most impressed with reveal, this is my first year using them but has been great. The SPYPOINT flex-s dark with solar built in seems like a great buy but it is NOT.. Command Revolver the 360 camera is neat and shows more deer that may not be seen but its nauseating going through all of the photos.

First year with cameras. Bought the Reveal 3.0 Pro. I like them!
4.0 is out, now, so you can find sales on the 3.0.

Started having a bunch of little glitches with Tactacam. Still run a few but I'm phasing them out with Wise Eyes.

Local game warden uses Arlo cameras. But I have no idea what the cost/ plan is.
Remote areas with no WiFi or electricity.

Happy with Reveal and their customer service last three years.

I've been running two Moultrie Edge 24/7/365 for about three years now. Been very happy with them. No issues, user app is more than adequate.

I am using the Moultrie edge cameras. We have really bad cell service in our area. Moultries seem to do a good job of finding the best network. I really like the new solar line that is all one unit. The app is good as well. I just wish the solar line had the same live aim as the Edge 3 does.

I've had a pair or Moultrie's that I hate. I get a bunch of picks of nothing. I've run a non cell camera with a SD card side by side and it does what it's supposed to.

A few years ago I just about threw out all my Moultrie cams and replaced them but the newer Edge models that I'm running now work great. Like flawless great. Maybe it's just the newer technology but the Edge models have been a huge turnaround from the older versions.

Hook em up to an external solar panel and I don't have to ever touch them. They send pics or videos with no issues. Pic and video quality is great. They have some nice features like live view when setting up, AI color enhancement for night photos, and smart zones you can turn off if you have a branch or grass that's setting them off. Not essential features but nice to have

Got no issues at all and highly recommend.

Been pretty happy with Reolink. They have models with SIM cards and that also use Wifi.

NOT a Moultrie fan....of ANYTHING they put out.
Quality of their products is fine out of the box, but after that - CRAPOLA.

I've had Tactacams for 4 or 5 years now. Finally had to replace 2 of them because birds pecked out the sensor cover. One of them got water in it and I never could get it to consistently send clear pictures after, even after drying it out.

Good pictures, app is pretty good and most of the options are good enough.

My buddy has Muddy and likes them. Pictures aren't as good, but his plan and cameras are a bit cheaper to buy.

We run Tactacam Reveal X 3.0's. Haven't had any issues with them other than a solar panel failing after being hit with sprinkler water everyday. The plan's are a little expensive IMO but the cameras work great

Very happy with Moultrie Edge Pro 2.

Easy to use. Responsive. App works well. AI image upload seems to work well. Colorized night pics are cool. Videos are excellent. I can't speak to their longevity because I'm only on year two. The cameras were cheap. The cell plans were very similar to TactaCam and Browning last year. I didn't check this year.

Love my TactiCam for the most part. I've lost two to water, one was in a location that got flash flooded and it submerged so understandable, the other on a screw into post type mount that turned upside down and I guess rain hit in solar power port.
Also, Woodpeckers love the sensor screen, cover, whatever it's called. I've thought about playing with window screen to shield the cover but not sure that it won't affect the sensing ability.

They're both good enough, but I prefer the Moultrie app ever so slightly.

Whatever you do choose,I'd stick with one brand so you're only using a single app across all the cameras.

FYI- on the clear SD card, I go to settings and at bottom do the format camera storage and it I guess clears the SD, do it from my phone. Beats the old days of pulling card.

Correct I do it from the app but I have to open the camera cover and switch to on, connect to WiFi and do it that way. I don't actually take SD's out

Why do you have to do all that at the camera? I've cleared mine multiple times from the app on my couch. The only reason I've ever needed to connect to the camera with it in my hands is to update it.

I will admit I don't know what it actually does because I can still access any picture I want from the day I set it out from the app. I guess if you pull the cards and transfer pictures to your computer or something you need it.

To add, I tried a couple Spypoints for a year or two. They were constantly dropping signal and water intrusion was common during rain events.

I always used Spypoint due to price. They never gave me any trouble and always seemed to work well except when they were plugged into my Slow Glow. It always killed the camera.

I never have had issues with water intrusion until this past July when the creek rose 15 feet and the camera was underwater for 2 days. It did not like that. It was 6 years old and going strong until that point. LOL.

I might try those reveal cams folks seem to like.

I've been very happy with reveal. The app is great and the photo quality is great. Don't even really need to add an SD card with internal memory. Just buy the rechargeable battery packs and maybe the solar chargers if you're so inclined.

I've considered cuddilnk so I can keep adding more cam coverage without adding more cellular data plans, but always heard negatives about their app, photo quality, and the responsiveness / notifications when pics are taken.

Also looking into a HaLow long range WiFi hub system- forget the name of the cams. If I can mount the hub or antenna on the roof of my metal building / barndo connected to my router centrally on the property, I could possibly place cams all over most of the property on WiFi with zero cellular data plans… alas, I don't think it would reach the far end of my property with elevation changes and really thick brush and woods.

I have a Reveal X 2.0. Came with a lithium battery and SD card. I've since bought a solar for it. Picture and video quality are awesome. I get the Xtra add on during hunting season so I can get free vids and HD pictures and the On Demand feature is nice for when I'm walking up on the feeder.

My complaints: I went round and round with their customer service last year because my battery would go from 100% to nothing in the matter of weeks completely out of nowhere. What I discovered was the solar does not charge your battery. It charges itself and the camera runs off of it. If the solar dies, the camera then runs off the internal battery. Well, that's a problem if the battery hasn't been charged in months because it's been running off the solar. I also ran into an issue this summer when I moved it to a trail since I didn't feed all year. It must have had crappy service because I could get videos or HD photos to send. They told me it was a service issue. My buddy and fellow TexAgger has a 3.0 and he's had a lot of trouble with it. It just went through the AA battery pack in less than a month and I wouldn't say he was getting an excessive amount of pictures. He has it on the most optimized program for the battery as well.

Other than that, the sensitivity seems to be hit or miss. There's times I've had to put it at 1 because I was getting pictures every 10 minutes. I've had it set to 5 on the feeder and at a time I know for certain deer are at the feeder I had to request a picture to get it to take.

All that to be said, I'd get another one tomorrow if I had to get a new one.
