Got to Savanah tonight from Texas. Awesome dinner. Never thought I would enjoy grouper stuffed with crab on top of brown gravy and mashed potatoes. It was awesome.
Have a few hours in the morning in Savanah and then off to sea isle (Sea Island). Outdoor related as I plan to do some inshore fishing while there. If anyone has some must do's please let me know. Bonus was one of our waitresses played soccer at A&M in '98 and '99.
Side note: The locals all apologized for it being so hot.....it was 77 degrees with high humidity. Basically winter in Texas.

I have a family vacation home I inherited that we've had in the family since the 1980s. But it's north of Darien, behind Sapelo Island. We occasionally go down to St. Simons but mainly just for the beach when friends want to go.

The King and Prince is a famous old hotel on St. Simons. Most of my recommendations would be low brow compared to Sea Island so I'd just say enjoy your time there. They have some decent live music in St. Simons so check what's playing. Jekyll Island is nice now but again, compared to Sea Island ….

Mudcat Charlies on the Altamaha River is good. Marsh Pirate in Darien is a fun new bar on the water.

Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room is certainly worth the trip. It was a special experience!

The refurb golf courses on Jeckal island are great

The Country Club at Sea Island is an amazing location and view. We played both courses there 2 years ago and happened to be there while they were playing the Masters and watched it from the locker room. Felt like I was in the Masters locker room with full service and old school wooden lockers. Quite the treat

Been several years since we've been there but look up Sal's Pizza in Sea Isle. Owned by a guy that was a consultant for Rocky. Pizza was fantastic
