I eat 4-5 a year and so does my family. Makes excellent pan sausage! My only complaint is the fleas… I also only clean them with gloves on as a precaution.reineraggie09 said:
I don't know how anyone eats wild hog. 1) the smell 2) chance of getting brucella from cleaning them. A guy in my class had brucella from wild hogs. Always running a fever. I never asked if he had the other symptoms….

Fleas? Before dressing them, wash them with heavy soapy water water and a scrub brush on a pole. Let them set for 10 minutes and pressure wash them off. Even better if you have a car wash with a foam brush.
