Anyone do this and does it work? I need to treat about 4 acres so it would be great if I could mix them in my tank sprayer. I've got prodiamine and two types of Bifen on hand, both water and oil based.

What weed killer would be ideal to mix with this, if any?

Need to spray inside the next week, and seeing as some weeds have already started popping up, I hope it isn't too late.

Going to add an IGR to the mix as well.

What pre-emergent are you using that isn't a granular?

We mix prodiamine and bifen for sports fields with no issues. You're good to go.

I'd spray some form of 2,4-d and let the heat kill the winter grassy weeds. If st augustine and already greening up you'll need something like Trimec Southern.

I mix Flumigard as a preemergent with credit 41 (glyphosate) as my preemergent and herbicides. Both tank mixes.

Did you already buy the Prodiamine? We use a liquid version.

I did. I didn't see a liquid version anywhere. I can always return it so long as I can get the liquid version within a day or two.

If you have a Helena Chemicals near you, they should carry it.

Closest one is about 45 minutes away and didn't answer their phone.

Amazon has it, be here in a day or two.

Eh, i have already bought the water dispersible granules to mix in my trailer sprayer. Only liquid I see is 2.5 gallons for $270 and I do not need that much.

It dissolves easily. Have been spraying it for several years now out of my tank sprayer on my tractor.

Perfect. Hopefully everything has hardened up enough and we don't get a ton of rain tomorrow so I can knock it out this weekend.

The liquid gums everything up just as much as the dissolvable stuff. It's only a pain if you're having to weigh it and mix it every day. You'll be fine.

I will caution you though to completely empty your tank out and then fill it back up 1/4 or so with just water and spray it completely empty. May have to do it 2-3 times - if you don't the prodamine will solidify again and be a pain to clean out of the nozzle the next time you need the tank.

Use a surfactant. I also throw in 2,4-D and fertilizer as well.

Jeeze Amazon won't ship 2-4d to my house and there are only quarts available at tractor supply. I may have some hanging out on standby, I'll have to look. What fertilizer do you put in your mixture?

I usually just buy quarts of 2,4-D. Or buy it from Do It Yourself Pest Control (I think that's it - online store).

I don't have a typical fertilizer. I have used the dissolvable bags before with no issue and the liquid fertilizer you can get at TSC with no problem. Honestly I don't have to fertlize much, I spend most of my efforts on combating dollar weed, crab grass and nut sedge.

I've been plugging the products I am buying in to grok with what I am applying it to and it said something like a pint or quart per acre(can't remember) of 2-4d which seems high, but oh well. That's why I would prefer to buy it in 2.5 gallon jugs.
