Anyone have any contacts in the international shipping business?

Long story short, I'm trying to get a shipment of 40 AEDs and some trainers to a small island in the South Pacific called Palau. They're currently in Southern California. Due to them containing lithium ion batteries, we're running into issues shipping them - although they were shipped via ground from the East Coast to SoCal.

Does anyone have a contact that could help with the shipment, or have any ideas? Only thing we can think of is pulling the batteries from all of them and trying to ship those separately somehow, perhaps after taping the terminals on the battery?

Outdoors related because Palau has beautiful scuba diving. And also the general board is largely useful for anything serious, in my experience.

ETA: Needs to get there NLT first week of September.

Try the Military board too. Besides being WWII enthusiasts, you never know who has done any government service over there. It's a shot.

Also is any of this for charity or non-profit.

Shipping lithium-ion batteries by ground vs. air are two totally different animals. You have to be IATA certified to complete the paper work to legally put them on an airplane. You'll also need a commercial invoice, but the folks at Aeronet can walk you through that process. All the shipping containers will need to be properly marked and labeled according to IATA and the airline being used. Aeronet can help here too.

Thanks for the info. The AEDs are actually currently part of a grant project the military is trying to ship there. They missed the original military air movement due to vendor and distributor backorder and then shipping errors. Now the next MILAIR movement won't be for a while, and we've got a tight window. Commercial options are likely our best bet, but the batteries thing seems to be a problem, even via surface vessel.

I'll reach out to the contacts y'all provided and try and figure something out.

Does she have an email by chance? I'm overseas at the moment and so between timezones and shoddy networks, communication via phone will be difficult.
