I am pressed for time with all the kids stuff, but need a new blind for a location. Does anyone have a recommendation for a reasonable blind in the 2K range for a 4X6 on a 4-5' platform? I am in the Austin area. Thanks in advance for the help.

Facebook marketplace. Picked up a few nice homemade smart side with windows & RV doors last year. Guarantee there's a good selection close to you.

Here's an Austin Craigslist post that looks just like what you're looking for.

Strongly recommend a 6x6 if you can find one. Way, way, way more comfortable than a 4x6, easier to move around in, etc.

I was going to suggest a minimum of 5ft. 4ft seems ok but it gives very little room to straighten your legs. Also cumbersome for getting the gun in and out of the window.

I like 5x5 for one man and 5x7 for two. I have one 4x6 which is a sardine can for two.

Its not terrible if you're just going to go watch the feeder go off but totally wrecks the idea of long hunts.

Keep checking here between now and the season. They have a couple of 5x7 on sale now though. They are more than what you posted, but these are definitely a buy once, cry once type of deal. I believe these blinds are worth the money.

You might want to look at Krivoman (Leander, Tx) or Phantom blinds. On the Krivoman site you can get the standard blind 6ft diameter and a 4 ft tower for $2,150 before tax. No pricing for the Phantom blinds on their site but one of their dealers in Kansas has them for about the same price. People really like them and they should last for a long time.

Not affiliated, but I looked into them a couple years ago. Almost ordered one, but then I decided I wanted to build my own. 6 x 5 BTW

We are on year 3 with these blinds. They have been left out year round and still look brand new. $1200 for blind and 8 foot tower.

I just bought a couple of the $1200 Krivoman OG blinds - I'll be in one this weekend for some hogs in south texas (with my icy breeze ac cooler rolling).

It will be my first hunt in one, but if you're interested in them, I can give you a review Sunday.
