Parents have somehow amassed quite the firearm "collection". Unsure exactly on the quantity, but there are several:

• REM Model 700's 270's w/ Scopes (4-5)
• 12 & 20 gauge Over/Unders (6???)
• Couple random AR models in 556 (3?)
• Couple Remington 700's in 300 WSM

Mostly came from losing the corporate lease on a large STX ranch and kept the guns.

Don't really care about the value so much as getting something for them and transaction being painless (read to mean they don't want to drive all over to meet someone for 1 gun to get haggled down). No way they need 6 bolt action 270's in their 70's, and I don't want to move them post mortem. So - whats the easiest way to Downsize?

Burdett and Sons sells on commission. I think Champion does, or at least used to do so.

Honestly post them on here and I bet you get most of them sold to people that will come to BCS

O/U shotgun details!!

Yeah, post them here. Tell everyone they must pickup in B/CS and if you want, set 2-3 dates for pickup only. That way you don't have to run around a whole bunch.

Hell if the guns are all worth it, someone may even be interested in buying the lot and selling for you.

I'd like a look at the 300 WSM

You have some options based on what you said your wishes are:
1.) Post them on here on TA. You still will have to meet one on one but you will be dealing with good AG's.
2.) List them on Guns International or Guns OF America as individual private sales. People can call you or email you privately…you can sell privately.
3.) Contact Rock Island Auctions in Bedford, Texas.
They do this kind of thing everyday, all day. They are professionals, knowledgeable and honest. They will send an agent to view the collection and make selling them/marketing them very painless and worry free.
4.) Contact a reputable local gun dealer to come appraise and buy the collection. Caution must be used here as many will take advantage.

I'd be interested in taking a couple of these off your hands, just either need some gun details or contact information.

I am very interested in a couple of the .270s

I will entertain buying all six of the O/U shotguns if they're Browning, Beretta, or similar/better manufacturers.

I have a gun at Briley in Houston on consignment. They always have a mix of guns just not shotguns. Their front store manager, Rhea, can give you a good idea of what to list them for.

Another option is Collectors firearms in Houston. I've never sold or consigned to them but an option.

Agree with others above. You can probably get a good portion sold on here over a weekend.

Interested in 12 O/U

I'm an FFL here in Bryan. I don't have a store front so I couldn't do you justice on a consignment deal. Would recommend Burdette's for that. I would like info / pics on all of them as I may be interested in some for projects.

Easiest way is to take them to a dealer and off load them at wholesale price.

Most profitable way is to post each one here. With details. Answer each question. Have people come out and look at them. They may buy, they may not. Do that for a couple of weeks.
