Headed to Port A for a few days, one of which will be a day (most of day) on the beach. Can anyone provide a seaweed report. Would like to know so we can bring a garden rake to clear out the area if needed.

TIA

Should that bucket be attached to a track hoe?

Very little weed this week, but the surf was absolute garbage. 10 sets of breakers.

Wasn't too bad last weekend. Beached was packed so get there early. Water is brown - looked much better in March

Not surfing, but do intend to throw out some mullet on a couple of surf rods. Wade out as far as comfortable, chunk, set, and bring rod back to shore. A couple of smaller rods to catch bait like whiting.

What exactly do you mean 10 sets of breakers. More smaller waves with increased intervals?

Seaweed wasn't too bad last weekend. Water was very rough and brown as it's been windy. Basically just choppy and waist high everywhere. If you find a calm day and find some bait runnin I bet you could smash some fish in the surf.

If you run into a school of whiting big enough to clean, they are delicious.

Check out the Port Aransas live cams…. They show the beach in different areas. You can get a pretty good idea of what to expect. Have fun!

Yeah, almost looked like it was from storms offshore or something like that. I don't know, could have been the wind, but it was chocolate milk color and constant breakers as far out as you can see. Yes, smaller but many more.
