My dad tell stories of riding up on tanks/ponds and there being 10-15 deer standing in the water with only their head showing attempting to drown the worms. Dozens of dead deer laid out in every direction that were unsuccessful.ttha_aggie_09 said:

I'd hate to have our recovering deer population in N Uvalde County, that is rebounding from a god awful 5-7 years, be decimated by screw worms. Allegedly that was why the deer population was almost nonexistent in our area back in the 50-60s.
