What do you think? My sone was on the playground at day camp and got tagged within the first 5 minutes. Doesn't look like a BW bite to me, but since it was on the playground there is a chance something fell down his shirt. I think the most likely thing is there was a Yellowjacket nest nearby and he got double tapped.

What was his reaction? Was it immediately painful? My kids mosquito bites look like that.

Immediate, which to me points even more to wasp than spider. I've been bit by spiders and don't really recall the pain, but I've definitely noticed every time I've been tagged by a wasp!

Classic wasp type sting reaction. Red dot, local inflammation, pinkish around sting. Hurts like hell for 15-20 min then fades out.

I feel your pain. My 4 year old got hammered in both knees at the same time two days ago because a bunch made a nest right under our outdoor couch. The scream was blood curdling.

This is a healing BW bite, post two weeks and antibiotics.

I got double tapped by yellow jackets on my ankle and it looked identical to that.

Spider bites often are painless or itch. Wasp usually are painful up front and itch later.
