finished up a stock table from some extra slabs i had on hand of figured walnut. I generally dont like the sapwood contrast in the middle of a bookmatch, but these had cool enough character that I wanted to save it, so left the sapwood in.

I also powered through and finished up the chess pieces yesterday for the two sets. Such a tedious project. I struggle with pricing the spare set, because to make what i want for my time, it would probably be pushing 600$ for a set+board, which i don't know if is a valid price point.

the far left and right outside are pecan and mesquite, while the middle set is koa (dark) and mango (light)

Agrams, your projects posts never disappoint. That table is stunning. Did you make that table for a particular person, or is it for sale?

that table is an extra item. I am doing a show this fall for the first time, and using it as an opportunity to use up a bunch of my on-hand material. ive got a couple other tables and desks i hope to be able to make by then also.

Dude. Good call on the bookmatch with the sap wood. The way the curl complements itself is perfect. Also love the way the bench came out.

Also- did you build the base? Purchase? How did you attach it?
