TL;DR interested in a backpack style tackle bag. Looking for recommendations.

I've gotten back into tournament fishing as a co-anglers in the last couple of years, and I need to find something that isn't a PITA to throw into a storage box on whoever boat I'm on.

I really want to minimize the plastic boxes because they suck. Will probably look at 1-2 plastic boxes for hard lures/weights/hooks and then go with a storage cube for soft plastics. Would be great to be able to fit a water bottle, balance beam, cull tags/bags, and lunch.

Never done any tournament fishing so I'm not sure how much room a balance beam and cull bags take up, but I will submit the Orvis tackle bag as something that I have had great service from.

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the whole side of the bag opposite the water bottle holder unzips and opens up giving you cavernous access to the main part of the bag. That makes handling/sorting plastic organizers, lunch, and bigger things easier than working from the top, which also opens up per the pics. The top area has small pockets with sub sections for eyeglasses, wallet, charging block/cords, phone type stuff. I use it as a boat bag when I'm on my boat and can fit everything I want, including the 9" GPS receiver and wade pack - so it's not small.

I don't let the fact that it's a 'fly fishing bag' limit its application, I use it for the tiny bit of camping/overlanding I get to do and other traveling as well. It works good for me.

Plano Pro Guide Tackle System. They make them in several sizes. Not backpack style though. They may make one.

Build your individual boxes then just slide them in the tackle box carrier.

This is the Plano backpack style. I have no idea if this is any good or not. I have the one I previously posted and love it.

I ordered this one. We'll see how it works on Coeur d'Alene in 2 weeks.
