We have put out fortified cottonseed (don't know the brand but buy it at Mesquite Creek) for the past year but the deer still aren't really eating it. A local told us he switched to regular cottonseed (I believe from Los Cazadores) and the deer started eating it more. I'm not sure I believe tha will make a difference but I wanted to see if anyone else has had better luck with one versus the other.

We've had good luck with regular cotton seed. Deer were hitting it hard this spring but have slowed down a bit with the recent rain/ green up.
FWIW, it's much cheaper to buy in 1000# totes from a gin.

I use regular cottonseed from Lyssy & Eckel. To get the deer used to it to start mix in some corn.
