I know this has been discussed before.... I am building a 20x20 safe/storm room. 8" thick concrete walls. When we do this for clients, we usually use a steel door from our supplier that is just ok. It isn't FEMA rated, but I don't really care about that. The problem is it isn't the most secure as it is only really relying on a deadbolt. I saw some less expensive versions on Midway, but I don't think they are necessarily made for the 8" thick walls. And I am not going to spend Ft Knox money for one. I don't care if it is super glossy polished name brand. Just want something really secure and that will open from the inside as this doubles as a large storm shelter.
