I wonder what it takes to make the front page or an email on TexAgs. This might do it, if anything will.

Two Championships. One for the Big Trophy

Anyone can click the link to read the post. You don't need an Instagram account to do so.

We are now focusing on defeating Those People on the Hudson in a couple of weeks. Once that's done, I'll post all the text.

Just a heads up, Coach. TexAgs doesn't take too kindly to just social post or stories without a summary posted. They have been deleting those kind of threads this year. Also, some of us are stuck on work computers that can't load social sites, but we all want to play.

Here is Coach's comment from Instagram for everyone. Congratulations to the young men who put in the time to do things at an exceptional level.

"In a week of exceptional firsts for CCMU, here is another very exceptional one…

The team was at their annual training at The Mid-South Shooting Institute this week. Mid-South, in operation since the late 80's is a facility that only caters to US and allied national-asset direct action units. (The ones you may have heard of are Delta Force, Team Six, British SAS, etc…you get the idea.)

The list is long, but very, very exclusive. Most of the teams there specialize in hostage rescue, which is to say close quarters shooting that MUST be fast and accurate. When there is no margin for error, you simply cannot make one.

Mid-South has a standard test known as Operator Standards. Think a shooting qualification, all timed, all requiring accuracy as well as speed. Fail to make time…Fail. Fail to get the hit…Fail. There is a portion involving multiple runs on steel plates, the rest are things like shots from the holster, shots from different rifle positions and it ends on a Check Drill (you can google it…its rifle/pistol and a reload. Not easy. At all.)

All units taking a course at Mid-South fire the Operator Standards for score. Let me repeat that…All Units.

Last year M-S created a board to which they add the unit name of every unit that scores 95% or better on the Operator Standards. Before this week there was exactly…one unit listed on that board. Now…there are two! 96% on Operator Standards for CCMU!

I can't wait to see what next week brings!

The second pic is a standard at Mid-South…every unit signs and decorates an ammunition box lid. It's hung up on the wall on site. I really wish I could show you the units that have theirs next to ours!"

ETA: Coach, can you at least tell us the country of the only other team up on the wall with yall?

Thanks for that heads up. Makes sense in all respects. I can't post pics, that's why I wanted to use the links.

The other unit above 95% is from the US. You would be surprised who it was if I was able to tell you.

The wall those box ends are mounted to is the facility gym. Think a four car garage. They go ten feet high. Two walls are nearly covered. But ours are mostly by…very special aquatic mammals.

Here is the text of the other link…

CCMU cadets picked a good day to have a record setting performance last weekend at the 2025 Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP) College National Championships in Alabama!

CCMU won the National Championship and was awarded the prestigious Fitzgerald Trophy.

This marks 9 of the last 13 years as CCMU National Championship wins at this match. This year the championship was one of the largest ever with colleges from across the country including another Senior Military College.

CCMU placed first in Production Division (for which the big championship trophy is awarded), and first in 1911 Division…which is considered a second National Title.

Production Division is the oldest and most prestigious in this historically pistol focused sport. Requiring the use of basically stock, striker fired handguns, Production places the burden of performance on the shooter and not his or her equipment.

The CCMU team also had a second squad awarded with a 3rd Place finish in Production Division.

CCMU set THREE new College records.

Fastest team time ever fired:
- Production Division (163 seconds)

-1911 Division (170 seconds)

-New college record for Fastest Production (9mm handgun) Individual match time (34.23 seconds) was fired by Cadet Thomas Nunnally '27.

We are very proud of every cadet on the CCMU team. Without each of the 24 men and women of the team working together for a common goal, their achievements would not be possible.

CCMU's next and final event of the year is the SIG SAUER Relentless Warrior Championship at SIG Academy in Exeter NH on April 11 & 12.

This is a combat style 3-gun match that is in its 24th year and is attended by teams from all Services Academies and SMC's, plus the Royal Canadian Military College.

In the last 8 of these matches CCMU has finished 1st place four times, and second place four times (all four to USMA.)

Edit to add: The National Director of the SSSF has said they are finalizing a White House invitation for the National Championship Team. Stay tuned!

Thanks for posting that text Taco…

I'm very proud of that one. None of the Varsity teams are on that board, except one.

And we did it with two sophomores present (one a female…who is going to very good, very soon) who had no previous shooting experience prior to becoming CCMU.

See the post from TRex above...this is a legit request that doesn't deserve your snarky response. Can't we stay civilized here without the typical teenage responses?

This isn't the politics board, no need to take it to the rim that hard.

To be fair, links without a summary of some sort have been deleted by staff. I think Lettuce was just trying to help.

Thank you 84…it's an honor to have done this for the last 13 years. Hard to believe it's been that long. I'm class of '89…let's not talk about getting old!

I created a 501 (fully accredited by the IRS) to support the team. The CCMU Foundation. 100% pass through to the team, all expenses are donated.

You can also donate to the CCA and to the A&M Foundation and request it be forwarded to the team. We couldn't do it without their assistance.

You can find us on our web page: https://www.cocmu.com/

Check out the video tab. Good stuff there.
